How We Teach

1.Small-Group

Our core model is small-group learning, with 4, 6, or 8 students per group. Within these settings, collaboration and guided instruction build both confidence and deep understanding. Priority is given to students who join or form consistent groups, while placement assessments help us ensure that each learner is matched with the right peers and learning environment for long-term success.

3. Diagnostic Test

At Mahomet Math, every student begins with a Diagnostic and Placement Test before enrollment. This assessment helps us understand each learner’s current skill level, strengths, and areas that need reinforcement. It ensures that every student is placed in a small group that matches their readiness, pace, and goals—creating the foundation for steady and confident progress.

Short pre-assessments to identify each student’s strengths, gaps, and optimal placement level.

4. Homework Help

Long-term skill-building sessions aligned with classroom progress, focusing on strengthening understanding and developing lasting confidence—rather than short-term quiz or exam review.

Mahomet Math Tutoring offers structured, long-term learning that strengthens daily classroom performance, deepens mathematical understanding, and builds lasting confidence—beyond short-term exam prep.

5. Math Workshops

Real-world math challenges that build analytical reasoning and critical thinking beyond the classroom.
